The Red Eyes, Stopouts, Global Parasite, Roughneck Riot. The Gravy Train, Newton-le-willows, 24/08/07 "Well, What can we say. We thought it would start with a bang but it actually started with a splutter. Opening band had to pull out last minute due to unforseen an all that so the second act was actually first. Matty from Roughneck Riot, had an absolutely great acoustic set and amazingly had come straight from another gig to do ours. Although hes in a great band, hes also a great solo act. Next band, Global Parasite from Wales. Absolutely storming band from Rhyl. Played tighter than a ducks arse and some great classic style original punk songs. The Stop outs. First time ive seen these guys but deffinately wont be the last. Some great tunes from a great Ska punk band.Deffo a band for joeys and a band to watch out for. The Red Eyes. No disrepect towards any of the other bands because we saw some fantastic bands tonight, but we all have to have our favourites, and these were mine. They deffo got themselves a new fan. If you can, get the bands album which is dirt cheap and can be ordered through their myspace site I think. It will be being played at our gigs. Thanks to all the bands, you were great and a pleasure to meet. To all those who sat at home watching Big brother or Corination street. You really really missed some fantastic bands tonight. Dont make the same mistake on day 2 of pigfest 3. We had a good time, why dont you??" ~taken from a myspace bulletin posted by www.myspace.com/merseyrockmike
