Looks like the nw music scene is on the up at last. Impaled Existance are doing well along with Bastions,Catfish and the bottleman, new exciting stuff on the way from Global Parasite and new band morffe.
what are people moaning about?
get out there and support the scene, dont slam it.
i agree we need more venues, somewhere stable bands can use as a platform to use their talents and get their messages across

Joy Formidable are a shining example that things can be done - although they did have to relocate to London to do it... Bastions, GP and IE are all bands who are not afraid to step over the border to ply their trade...

the north wales music scene is a parody of what it could be. theres too many followers not enough leaders and everyone slags each other off and acts like its the 80's. all this space and so few decent festivals, dont get me started on the narrow mindedness of the 'scene' nights.

the north wales scene currently has more bands progressing out of it's weird little boundaries than it ever has done in the past. Bastions, Global Parasite and Impaled Existance all have totally broken out in their individual scenes nationwide. These bands come from north wales. You should be proud Bastions are at the top of their scene nationwide, you should be proud Global Parasite tour Europe, you should be proud Impaled Existance have a nationwide following. Stop whining.

metal, hardcore and punk. woah!!!my tiny little mind has been blown. refer to point about being stuck in the 80's. Don't forget folk and religious hymns. I remember Aled Jones was really massive in the eighties and went on to dominate the world. As we all know metal, hardcore and punk died in 1989. When Crazy Frog entered the pop charts it was game over.

No, I said nothing about the lack of gigs, quantity is not quality.
You said 'exciting new stuff'. LIES!!!
originality should mean a lot in music.
It's quite clear that you not know what you talk of, you sir are quite clearly the retard.
