The Orb is a great selection. A really good combination back in the day (homeboy) was the Pomme Fritz album, a spliff and a bed.
The Orb were well aware of the stoner connection and included the last track 'His Immortal Logness' as a wake up call, which featured 2 minutes of loud stupid noises with a cheesey casio keyboard backing track.
Add to that list - Ozric Tentacles (particularly 'Strangeitude'), Stars Of The Lid and selected tracks by Aphex Twin.
Other than that, I find Coldplay send me to sleep for all the wrong reasons.

Those guys have nothing on Barry White. Sexy Time!

True, but I learnt not to take Slayer far too literally after reading some interviews and all the drama surrounding The Angel Of Death portraying apprent Nazi sympathys. Does make good dirty time soundtrack though haha.

You wouldn't be the first. Jack Sharp once boozed himself unconscious and fell asleep for a large part of Clash of the Titans at the Birmingham NEC. By coincidence the gig featured a little known thrash band called 'Slayer'. I just had a disturbing thought with all this thrash at bedtime malarky - Has anyone ever done the business to 'Raining Blood'? The end of that song lends itself to some seriously hard shagging with all the speeding up and thundering climax. On the other hand, it's very short. You'd have to suffer from premature ejaculation to get the timing right.

That really would require good timing.
Maybe the B-Side to 'You suffer' offers more practical option. The Electro Hippies 'Mega Armageddon Death' has a count in. The 1-2-3-4 section would at least give you time for a 'run up'.
That was a weird single - quite a collector's item. The songs are so short that the surface of the vinyl doesn't appear to have a groove. It bares more relation to a frisbee. Rumour has it that the single found it's way into the Guiness Book of World Records for shortest release ever (I could be wrong).
Shortest release...fnarr, fnarr etc.
