They aren't bothering the radio stations. If they want to make boring music it's got fuck all to do with anyone else. Also, why is everyone obsessed with 'getting out of Wales'? Just get on a train and go somewhere else for the day. This forum is weird.

Hells yeah, BoreCore is and always has been thriving. Just go to a Sunn O)))) gig and have a nap in the corner, its great.
Sona are alright. I'm amazed people still get so worked up about shit they don't really like, seems more prevalent than people getting all stirred up about shit they DO like. Seriously, it would be refreshing to see some
VIOLENTLY AND ACTIVELY OVER-POSITIVE
people around here once in a while.
And guys, leave Whales out of this - if only you knew how much of Brian Gibson's shit I rip off! Seriously, its like a Load records boner fest and everyone's invited.

Having been signed to dpulse records. I can only wish sona the best of luck. You'll never conquer the world on that label, but your music will at least be 'out there'. To be fair (and not at all derogatory to dpulse Martin or Dean). The only hope you have (or we had) to make the most of the label is to get stateside where they have contacts. Visas, budgets, jobs 'Windows of opportunity'. Escaping colditz would've been easier. All the best to you though. Goodluck with the album boys.

A band like Sona will go nowhere on dpulse. Perhaps they would however get somewhere if they followed in the footsteps of Global Parasite and did it themselves? I don't mean go all punk rock, just the work ethic. If you want pointless little marketing packs and silly little cards printed out then sure, go with that sort of label. But you're just going to be sat at home twiddling your thumbs with them when you could be out there doing it yourself, no insult to Martin as here he means well.

It's not punk rock to keep name checking them like there gods of all things DIY. Stop leering over them, it makes one think that there listeners are assosciated with smarmy cunts.

The whole industry is fucked anyway. If there really was a sure fire way of making money, the dream is over now.
People file share these days. Tours are massively expensive.
Concentrate on making good sounds and try to have as much fun as possible. It's not about changing the world or making millions anymore.

Damien, thanks a lot mate, appreciate it.
Gog, I can assure you that we've had 8 years of "doing it ourselves" and when you work a job like mine, it's lovely to know that you don't have to get home n get back on the computer to push an album, EP etc. and that it's being done for you- and being done better.
Arse Face, I completely agree with you. It's most definitely not about money for us and we're under no illusions; we're never gone change the World! We have a laugh doing what we do- whether we're playing Bangor/ Rhyl or Manchester. Gigging is certainly better than being sat in the house watching X Factor...
