Bloody hell. Most of my CDs were bought to replace my 80s crappy cassettes. This will look well sad. Why do I do these things?
You may notice that I'm great at buying albums at least 2 years after they were popular. I'm too awkward to admit they're good when they come out.
1. Steve Vai - Passion and Warfare 2. Outkast - Seakerboxx/The love below 3. Napalm Death - Scum 4. Anthrax - Attack of the Killer Bs 5. dEUS - In a bar, under the sea 6. Jim Martin - Milk and blood (for a quid! It's deleted as well. Thank fuck for 2nd hands) 7. Muse - Absolution 8. John Zorn - Moonchild 9. Ricky Gervais - Podcasts (3 CD Boxset thingy) 10. Godflesh - Streetcleaner

quality, dunc. did you get streetcleaner with the peel session included? Certainly did - Tiny Tears, Wound, Dead Head and Suction all present and correct. There's just something about Godflesh that's unlike anyone else. It's really brutal stuff. I think Justin's voice is really good - he sounds proper pissed off. You can almost see him sneering when you hear it. The lo-fi drum machine adds to the originality - it actually sounds heavier than a real drummer to my ears.

Quote JKB from this month's terrorizer "inevitably the oppresive nature of our environment (birmingham) had a big effect on godflesh. where i am now, in the north of Wales (abergele allegedly), you see the seasons change, you see the curvature of the earth and the big sky and something changes inside you and your music." hence Jesu. Mind you, north wales still brings out the industrial noisecore in me but maybe that's penmaenmawr for you!
