Yeah - I've got 2 singles by Pineapple - used to love their version of A-ha's Take On Me and Lionel Richie's Hello - but both punk'd up.
How's Glasgow you rectum faced bucket of sex sores?

I played a gig with Pineapple once. They seemed likeable enough. Not completely memorable, but I was fond of the odd beer or 6 back then. Why would anyone hate them? Or Adam and the Ants for that matter?
RE: 'Rectum faced bicket of sex sores' - a reference to the mighty 'Filthy Rich and Catflap' if I'm not mistaken. That's what Eddie called Jumbo Whiffy when Richie sold his Celebrity Golfing anecdotes to 'the beeb'.

When I was 13 I had an unhealthy obsession with the Adam & The Ants original line up & made a life decision to listen to Dirk Wears White Sox at least once a day for the rest of my days,I also had a collection of bootleg cassettes spanning every gig from 1977-79,then all that pirate cuntiness started although Adam cleverly kept his old fans on board by recording all the previously unreleased live favourites from the punk days as b-sides on his pop singles.Did you know Adam & The Ants last ever UK gig was at Deeside Leisure Centre. Personally I fucking hate Simple Minds,INXS & Frankie Goes To Bastard Hollywood.

I had a huge row with Angela Savage (top babe) when I was in school when she challenged me to list 100 punk bands. Adam & The Ants were on my list and she accused me of making the name up. A couple of years later I declared that if the Ants got to Number 1 that I would give away their back catalogue for not being punk enough for my tastes - Prince Charming was the catalyst (I think) - so Angela and a few other girls got my Adam And The Ants vinyl.
Dunc - tell me where 'Monk de Wally de Honk' comes from...

Dunc - tell me where 'Monk de Wally de Honk' comes from... I have no idea - I don't think it's Eddie and Richie. Could it be an obscure Comic Strip film?

Iwan is sort of there - on the Young Ones episode when they're on University Challenge one the answers to the questions Bambi asks is 'Monk de Wally de Honk'

Ah nostalgia - it's up there with -
'I've got a porsche - mwahahahaha!' (Emma Thompson should be shot but it's good)
Nice to see Ben Elton as 'Mr Kendell-Mintcake' too.
Funny how all those twats (minus Stephen Fry) ended up a lot like the characters they were playing.
