Hey, just thought I'd let you know, we just bought a brand new 1000watt RMS PA off an Ebay shop for a mere £399 plus £25 p&p- that's for everything: Speakers, Amp, Cables.

point a) to your sales point most decent sound engineers will no let you tie pa's in so there is no point and if your doing gigs where you are sure there is no pa there why not just hire one out for those one off's. Whilst you build up a smaller one for practice with or anything else.
point b)Most of these cheap ebay deals will be selling utter shit and probably a system without protection ie a cross over for keeping your speakers away from nasty frequencies.
