Hornfinger Productions are staging a fundraising event to promote the feature film Queensberry Rules at Hendre Hall*, Tal-Y-Bont, near Bangor, on the 20th July. The event will feature music from Wrexham’s The Roseville Band (formerly Crosbi), Ethergy, and Adam Chatterton (more to be confirmed), and a film and sports memorabilia auction.
The locally-based film will feature the talents of Hollywood actor/director Larry Holden - star of Memento, Insomnia, and Batman Begins, and director of the award-winning My Father’s House, starring Cameron Diaz, English character-actor Seamus O’Neill (Dead Man’s Shoes, Life On Mars), legendary boxing coach Billy Graham (trainer of World Light Welterweight boxing champion Ricky Hatton), local actors Spencer Wilding (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Batman Begins, Eragon) and Chris Detton (Life On Mars) in the lead role, and renowned Irish producer Glyn Carragher, a veteran of film and television for the past fifteen years, with numerous productions for RTE and the BBC.
“It’s set to be a great night,” says Chris Detton, also a producer, “and the event is growing all the time, so keep your eye on www.myspace.com/the_ergonomic for further developments.”
Writer/director Ashley Allen adds, “As part of Hornfinger Productions’ remit to involve as many people from the local community as possible – following on from our local open auditions - we are offering ticket-buyers the opportunity to gain a mention in the film’s closing credits, as every penny we raise from the fundraiser will go directly into the film.”
The event begins at 7.00pm, and tickets will be available at The Little Theatre, Vale Road, Rhyl during box office hours ((01745) 342229) for £10.
* Hendre is a strictly over 18’s venue, so I.D. will be required. Acceptable forms of I.D. are photo card driving licence, passport, and/or Portman proof of age card only.
Hendre operate a zero-tolerance drug policy. Customers will be subject to search, and drug detection dogs may be present.
The management reserve all rights of admission.
