Lets have some band news.. We all know when you're playing a gig, but never know what's in the pipeline... Use this board to spread the news... Hargi from Carpet gave me a lift the other night and told me they were working on (a long overdue) album at some studio outside Denbigh. Hargi is also drumming for some girl singer who keeps playing fuck with him when he cancels dates as they clash with Carpet's. The Racketears are also planning an album, although they may re-record a lot of the tracks they have down already. That's the kind of stuff this section should feature... Also - if someone leaves your band, you form a band or whatever - POST IT HERE... All relevant stuff will be added to the www.link2wales.co.uk website...

I've been on a musical hiatus whilst I complete a PGCE course teaching Media, Music and Art in Further Education. This is set to end in June. I've played a few gigs in Canterbury and Ashford, to keep things rolling along. Done a couple of shows with prog-rock stoners 'Bossk' (well worth checking out if you can find 'em on t'internet)
A new album has been semi-recorded and a live band is being put together at the end of June.
The drummer is called Les Wilson and also records/performs as a soloist. I'm currently looking for a bass player in the Kent area.
A gig will go ahead at the Beer Cart Arms, Canterbury in July, showcasing new material.
That's about it really.

We're [BBC Wales] sorting out the final bureaucratic details to start recording proper studio sessions again [at a studio in Newport run by Carl Bevan, formerly drummer with 60ft Dolls & a studio in Wrexham].
If you're interested in doing a session for the show, drop me an e-mail:
themysterytour@gmail.com
We're also looking for someone based in N.W. Wales who can act as a regular contributor to the show, talking about upcoming gigs & new demos from that area.

Ah, that'll be the same Huw Williams that totally trounced Crud at a much maligned pop quiz in Menai. Ablelly abetted by some fat bastard from Rhyl. What ever happened to your record shop Adam? Sorry, Andrea

ha ha! Yes, Crud! got trounced... not enough questions about Discharge.
Who maligned the pop quiz?
It was just about the best damn fucking pop quiz that ever was [on Radio Wales... recorded on Anglesey that particular night!]
Crud was telling me about the trance CD's the other night and the record box full of cans of beer.
I'll have to try that, sometime!
