I will be playing a solo set live at the Fricsan in Cwm Y Glo on Friday 27th of November as part of the 'Save the Fricsan' gig (Between 8.00pm and 10.00pm). The venue is facing closure unless we can stump up enough cash to keep it running. It will be my first gig in North Wales since 2005, excluding my brief set at Ectogram's New Year's bash.
Also appearing will be current link2wales darlings Something Personal, promoting their new album and generally playing live again for the first time in ages
Other bands on the bill have yet to be confirmed, but it seems there will be quite a few.
The gig could also see the return of Papa Lazaroo if we can find a drummer in time. This will be a source of prolonged agony to Alan Holmes who has consistently derided that particular band as 'the worst thing you ever did'. However, Twig is travelling all the way from Bolton so I had better make sure it's good. As I say, this is assuming we can find a drummer.
Will keep you posted, but it looks like the gig will be well attended and a lot of fun. Admission is £5. A 'Save the Fricsan part II' is scheduled for the following Sunday (awaiting confirmation).
Should be a good one...

Dunc, can u find out if I can take a Crudlet with me, as in, will they let him in? Unlike BBC Radio Wales / Rhyl Town Council..!! (eh Adam... ) On the website it looks like they are fine with youngsters (there are a few dotted about in the photos). I can't get in touch with anyone from the venue right now as it is 2.15am and I'm trying to get this sodding job application form finished... ANYHOO, here is a link. - www.thesnowdoninn.co.uk/whatson.htmlAs far as I know Something Personal will be playing on Friday - they have been going on about it on Facebook. I am unsure why their name is absent on the Fricsan site. Maybe it's 'secret gig' like wot big rock stars do? I am still not entirely sure what will happen on the night. Everyone seems to be saying something different. It has been described as everything from an open mic, to an improv session and 'The Live Return of Somthing Personal'. I have no idea what to expect. All I know is I'll be playing a song called 'Here Comes My Sick' and several other delightful tunes that won't make the Xmas number one this year. Maybe I should hire Jedward and we could cover 'My Cock's On Fire' by Skinflick. Then again, maybe I could set fire to Jedward. Even better - I could set fire to Jedward's cocks, record it and release a highly lucrative hit single. Genius! I'll phone Louis Walsh immediately...

Oh and it appears to be £5 to get in (should have mentioned that one). All funds go towards saving the venue.
