AUGUST 20th 2010
ANGLESEY ARMS, MENAI BRIDGE
It's back.
Johnny R returns with another evening of the strangest musicians known to mankind. Followers of previous Ethania evenings will recall Johnny himself performing a short set on a metal detector with baffled looking members of Ectogram.
This time round it looks like Jack Sharp will be playing, Alan Holmes from Ectogram will be making an appearance (probably with Parking non-stop) and as usual I will be doing a set of solo stuff, with a likely collaboration with Jack Sharp (Probably a longer set than last time). There will almost certainly be a host of other artists - I will update this thread as and when they confirm.
However, the main talking point appears to be the re-appearance of John Vietnam onto the North Wales music scene via this gig. People are seriously considering travelling across the country to see that one. John appeared on S4C in the eighties with heavy metal band Vietnam. Since then he has kept quite a low profile.
Judging by previous standards the gig will certainly be eventful.

Word is John Vietnam is definitely appearing. A tiny slice of history in the making for anyone involved in the music scene in and around Bangor.
Also confirmed -
Perry Wimpleton, El Mondo, Rhemp.Y Boddwr & Dionn
Does anyone know who these people are?
Unfortunately Ben from Mank's on holiday so he won't be there.

Word from Johnny R.
Gig cancelled due to hassles with the management about noise levels.
This is turning out to be a problematic year in terms of venues.
Just to say again - Ethania 20th August 2010 has been CANCELLED!
Sorry about that.
