HOMESPUN, Capguns for Arcades and David Price of The Jellies will perform at the Litten Tree pub in Colwyn Bay on March 8. Organised by the Weekly News, they will turn out in aid of The Chris Turnbull Memorial Foundation, raising money for Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation. Debbie Turnbull, of Trillo Avenue, Rhos- on-Sea – mum of 15-year-old Chris, who died in the river Llugwy at Pont Cyfyng Falls near Capel Curig last August – also needs support from readers in setting up a website and producing promotional literature for her talks around local schools regarding water safety. Led by Chris Turnbull’s Barmy Army of friends and family, the appeal has raised over £6,500, with all proceeds going to the volunteers at Ogwen Valley. Debbie’s target of £10,000 by Mother’s Day would be bolstered by the website and professional literature, as well as the Litten Tree gig. The show begins at 8.30pm; tickets £2.50 or £3 on the door.
