I'd really like anyone who can to make the effort to go to this event as Colin the organiser does as much as anyone on this site to promote interest in music in North Wales & does it for the love of the music not financial gain (unlike my mercenary self, joke),he doesn't just book venues & expect people to turn up but does radio interviews, endless advertising etc & spends a lot of effort in championing local independant record shops & I can't thank him enough for all the plugs he's given me in the past few months.I went to his last fair in Flint & if you were after vinyl or cd's there was plenrt of good stuff knocking about cheap & I'll be in Mold bright & early & hope anyone with transport will make the effort.

Any visitors to this topic, interested in making the trek to the Record Fair in Mold on Saturday (24th March) just quote "CRUD" on the door to save the cost of Admission - hope to see you there!

What would be really funny if someone took a copy of Crud and started quoting from the 'zine...! Mothers would be shying their children away from the expletives...! I am actually in Cilcain on Saturday morning - so may well make the 5min jaunt into Mold - even though I own every release known to man that's worth owing

I know this is probably impossible - but can you list your entire collection?
C'mon...You must have them catalogued for insurance purposes.
It'll probably take up 9 pages, but I've got a lot of time to kill and you must own some very rare stuff

Ha ha - holy shit - I had it catalogued up until 1995 and I found the Folder in the attic the other day (when unearthing Sons of Selina videos) - I did start putting it onto the old Amstrad, and I think I had them copied over when I got my 1st PC in '95. So my list will be 12 years out of date...!

How many titles were there up till then? And how many are there now?
I only ask because you probably have an amazing collection.
To us nerds it would make interesting reading.

In the pre-link2wales days I set up a site called Encpsychopedia Cruddaticca, which had my collection along with reviews and anecdotes for some of the tracks - I've just found it on disc! - It's too big to post in one go, but I could (if you and I are sad enough) serialise it...!

Just been looking at it... maybe too big an idea!! Dontcha think the advent of the MP3 had ruined the anorak's dream of a record collection? I mean, I've got eg; OZRIC TENTACLES - 'Jelly Lips' on MP3, does that constitute as a single or as a track or under a new heading MP3? Where do you draw the line with your collection? You have half an album of MP3s by Duncan Black, is that listed as an album, half an album or 5 or 6 individual tracks? The people need to know...

Hands up who went to Mold today? I did & t'was brill...bought 3 beautiful late 60's Trojan reggae/ska LP's,loads of punk 45's (Crass,Zounds,Riot Squad,Poison Girls etc etc),some nice Blues & Soul LP's for £2 each & a shitload of cd's...I know it's nothing that's not been said before but these events are run out of love for music not money & are great meeting places for like minded collectors, the next one's Colin's putting on is in Denbigh in July, can't wait.
