Actually Steve I have to disagree.Reggae is a form of music in it's own right & although developed from ska then rocksteady & previously calypso,is by the change of tempo & forefront of bass in the mix, completely different. There's been an argument raging since 1968 as to what was the first 'reggae' record & it's one that is likely to never been resolved.I have in my collection an LP by Byron Lee & The Dragonaires called 'Reggay' & named after 'the new music phenoninum called Reggay', the A&R man credit on the rear sleeve is one Lee Perry. So cutting to the chase, saying a 'reggae' top 10 isn't possible is like saying an 'ambient house' or 'drum & bass' top 10 isn't possible because it was evolved from an eariler from of the same.It was only after the success of Marley in the UK charts, followed by Muscial Youth,Eddy Grant & the 2-Tone revival that anything with a 'reggae' rhythm or remotely Jamaican was referred to as reggae.Another factor that causes confusion is that artists who recorded ska or rocksteady records went on the record reggae, but it has to be remembered that at the time the only people who were making money out of musc in Jamacia were the stusio owners & producers & the artists were in the majority just paid a paltry one off fee to make the record,a prime example being the mighty U-Roy who died a penniless tramp on the streets of Kingston. Also Steve,Handsworth Revolution is a classic & worthy of anyones Top 10,so much so that I've got in on vinyl,cd & cassette. I couldn't list a 'reggae Top 10' as it is probably the most prolifically recorded genre in musical history & to pick just 10 tunes is an impossibility,I'd struggle to name my favourite 10 reggae artists.I'm in contact with lots of reggae collectors including Penny Reel who used to write for the NME & despite collecting & writing about reggae since the early 70's & writing a book on Dennis Brown is still discovering previously unheard tunes to this day!

Talking of Brit delivery, this implies that you recorded it,you of course knowing the Queen's Enlgish should have said it was your favourite LP
