it isn't of course, as then it would be shit
but anyway, anyone seen the film? it's an absolute stunner and seeing as i was about 12 in 1983 when it's set it resonates fantastically. highly recommend. even if you aren;t old barstard.

i managed to get a copy of the film. i think it's amazing. at first i had my doubts (before watching the film) thinking it was a pro "England" nationalist wank film. but, luckily, my friend told me to watch it. so i did. great film! if you liked this Shane Meadows film, you should like "Dead Man's Shoes" too. it has the same realism in it, but minus the skinheads!

for me i was abit disappionted with the ending, mainly coz i wanted to know what happened to my faviourite character Woody. Any skinhead who leaves a party to watch a documentary about aardvarks is funny to me. he has some great lines in that film!

Back in 1983 i was doing time in Her Majesty's Service....the army that is, stationed down in London. Saw the film on Thursday night and loved it. Very ablibed and the way it was made reminded me of that 70's classic 'KES'. The montage opening of all 80's stuff ie 'Roland Rat' and leading to Falkland War footage brought it all back and had me looking for my rubic's cube. The film it's self was pure class and goes to show that you don't need the hollywood millions to make a good film. Eli Dingle (Emmerdale) who played one of the main skinhead characters was brill and i was left waiting for him to come back into the film for that last quarter but no sign of him.....back to Emmerdale i think...... Soundtrack was excellent mix of ska, new wave; loved it. When i came out of the Army in 84 i couldn't get a job and yes was pissed off about it.....but i didn't join no National Front.....no!!!! went to Cruds flat got my hair cut, got in the paper, thought what to spend my £60 giro on, went to bistro.......and loved it..............the 80's where cool !
